Lone Survivor - Private Screening & Events

What a great honor it was to do my first event as Special Events Consulting Group......

The Lone Survivor private screening for Marcus & Melanie Luttrell followed by the Lone Survivor Foundation Dinner and Golf Tournament.  There were four events, over 1600 in attendance throughout the events, four country and western bands, lots of lights, cameras, food and fellowship.

The Lone Survivor is a FANTASTIC movie.  You will walk out speechless and in tears.  Marcus Luttrell wrote the book Lone Survivor and it has been produced as a movie by Peter Berg.  The move is based on the failed June 28, 2005 mission "Operation Red Wing" in which four members of SEAL Team 10 were tasked to capture or kill a Taliban leader.  Luttrell was one of the four men on the mission to survive.  Eight members of the SEALs and eight Army special operations soldiers who came by helicopter to rescue the original four were shot down, and all aboard were killed.  It is a heart wrenching story of courage, faith, and service, and a testament to what our military forces do to protect our country.

The movie opens on January 10 and I recommend you go!!

It was a true honor to host the personal private screening for Marcus and Melanie Luttrell at Studio Movie Grill, City Centre in Houston, Texas.  Guests entered the screening on a red carpet, got their picture made against the step and repat and then went into various theaters based on their ticket purchase.  Tickets were sold in an effort to raise money for the Team Never Quit Foundation, Boot Campaign and Lone Survivor Foundation.  With over 900 people in attendance it was a huge success.  When the screening concluded Marcus and Peter Berg went to each theatre to thank the guests for attending.  Many Navy SEALs and widows of those that did not survive Operation Red Wing attended.  In addition to some celebrities, Matt Hughes and Glenn Beck to name a few.

Following the movie there was a dinner to raise funds for the Lone Survivor Foundation at the Houston Oaks Country Club in Hockley, Texas.  This venue is magnificent and the staff are amazing.  There was a live auction, 3 bands that included:  Brison Bursey Band, Scooter Brown Band and Randy Rogers Band and a yummy fajita dinner.  Over 500 attended the dinner.

The next morning was the annual golf classic followed by a BBQ dinner and entertainment from Weston Burt.

A huge thank you to my team Cameron Clay and Macey Levy.  The Team Never Quit staff, Studio  Movie Grill, Houston Oaks Country Club, Darryl & Co., and Audio Visual Professional Group.  It was a great event!  Looking forward to doing this again!!

Enjoy this farm party for my son Case, who turned 2.  My favorite party decor was the red 2 we got at Canton, TX.  I used lots of burlap, red & white check, bandanas, mason jars, farm animals, tin buckets and old wooden crates.  There were of course cows in the back ground!

Zebra Dance Party

Take a look at this fabulous dance party. The hottest thing for this 4 year old is zebra, purple and pink, with a little dancing.
